Specifying A Kitchen - Completed

Hello!

I finally have some pictures of this functionally striking kitchen, I know it's about time, right?!

This project was mentioned in an earlier post while in the throes of construction.

My enviable self felt compelled to highlight the beautiful mid century modern vibe of this home in the first post.

Set on a ravine, graceful pond, picturesque railway structure situated in our destination driven Niagara wine country.

Can you see why I'm envious?

This is a hardworking family who love to cook, the kitchen is their hub for conversation + scrumptious meals.

The configuration of the original footprint was opened up to accommodate a large island with a sink. The main counter runs around the periphery incorporating many banks of drawers that offer tons of storage.

The backsplash is an organic tile that reflects light and relates to the glass inserts of the two upper cabinets flanking the stove.

There is a pull-out pantry adding more storage.

You can see more of the textural elements in this home. There is a vintage reclaimed brick wall in the entranceway and a wood panelled ceiling in the family room.

I can't say enough about the craftsmanship + quality of the cabinetry. The cabinets were made + constructed by a local shop, family owned.

Precision in all details, thoughtful trim with the end result quite evident visually.

I have a few more pictures of the work done that I'll show you in the next post.

Live well + enjoy!
